Meet HASHI DUO
Hashi Duo is a guitar and piano ensemble formed by Costa Rican guitarist Adrián Montero and Japanese pianist Moé Takamatsu, two internationally award-winning musicians who share a passion for creating connections through music. Based in the United States, Hashi Duo takes its name from the Japanese word Hashi, meaning “bridge,” reflecting their mission to build bridges between cultures, styles, and generations through the music of Japan, Latin America, and beyond.
Over the years, Hashi Duo has brought their unique sound to audiences across the United States, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Japan, and Colombia, performing in cities including New York, Tokyo, Bogotá, and San José. Their journey has included world premieres by acclaimed composers Marvin Camacho and Hermelindo Ruiz, and now continues with the release of their debut album—produced by four-time Grammy nominee Mak Grgić and recorded by two-time Grammy-nominated engineer John Weston.
Beyond the stage, Hashi Duo is passionate about sharing music with new generations through educational concerts, masterclasses, and collaborations around the world.
